Wall Covering Wednesday: Scalamandre Zebra’s

I have struggled with my decision to feature today’s wall covering. I am a huge fan of Scalamandre Zebra’s but I feel like I see it everywhere so I wasn’t sure I should include it. But it’s fun, it’s fab and even though I see it everywhere you just might not have seen it.

Originally created in 1945 the red colorway was designed for the New York restaurant Gino of Capri. Since then this Zebra print has been gracing the pages of magazines, been used in movies, nurseries, bedrooms, living rooms, you name it its been done. It is also available in fabric, bedding and additional textiles for the home or business.

I said it before, it’s fab and fun and it makes just the perfect statement in any space.

Zebras on Natural is handprinted on grasscloth. I can just see it with a pop of color, orange or turquoise or navy are just a few colors that would work.

Also printed on grasscloth Zebras on Red.

If grasscloth isn’t what you are looking for don’t worry there are 11 other options in paper. Here are a few.

A scene from The Royal Tenenbaum Movie.

Gorgeous powder rooms.

How about this nursery in Chicago by Summer Thornton Design, Inc.

I’m not sure on the source of this image but this room is fun.
